Welcome to Excelsior Elementary, home of the Eagles!

 

It is a privilege to serve as the principal of Excelsior School! Our campus is a special place, filled with dedicated educators, enthusiastic students, and families who care deeply about their school community. I am excited to be part of a school with such a strong tradition of academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for students to learn, grow, and succeed.

 

At Excelsior, we believe that a great education goes beyond academics. Guided by the Eureka Union School District's vision and our Excelsior Core Beliefs, our staff is committed to providing a dynamic and engaging education that challenges students to think critically, collaborate with others, and develop the character and skills needed for future success. We are proud to have been recognized as a California Gold Ribbon School for our outstanding future-ready programs, a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our students, staff, and school community.

 

Equally important to academic success is creating a school environment where students feel safe, supported, and connected. I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of a successful school, and I value the opportunity to get to know our students, celebrate their successes, and support them through challenges. My hope is that every student at Excelsior feels a sense of belonging and is encouraged to discover their strengths, take on new challenges, and grow both academically and personally.

One of Excelsior's greatest strengths is the partnership between our school and our families. I firmly believe that education is a team effort, and I value open communication, collaboration, and the many ways families contribute to our school community. Whether through our Parent Teacher Club, School Site Council, Eureka Schools Foundation, or volunteering on campus, there are wonderful opportunities to get involved and make a difference.

 

As principal, I value being present and engaged in the daily life of our school. From visiting classrooms and connecting with students to working alongside our staff and families, I look forward to building relationships and learning more about the traditions and experiences that make Excelsior such a special place. I welcome your ideas, questions, and partnership as we continue to build upon the strong foundation already established here.
