Gold Ribbon School

Excelsior School has been honored with a Gold Ribbon Schools Award from the State of California!

The Gold Ribbon Schools Program was created by the State of California Department of Education to honor and recognize outstanding educational programs and practices. Excelsior School is being recognized for our outstanding Challenge 21 program, which provides opportunities for our students to develop and apply important 21st century skills as they master state standards.

Excelsior School was visited by a state and county visitation team in March. The team visited classrooms and met with many different members of our school community, including students, staff and parents. The visitors were very impressed with the students at Excelsior School as they watched them engage in a variety of grade level Challenge Units. As a result, our school was recommended to receive this prestigious award.

We are thrilled to see the efforts of our students, staff and families recognized with a California Gold Ribbon Schools Award.

Please join us in celebrating this exciting achievement!
