Professional Development

Dear Rm. 507 Families,

I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher this upcoming school year. This year is going to be full of so many new adventures and learning experiences for your child. In my classroom, we will focus on taking responsibility for our education.  My goal is to empower students to become independent thinkers.

A few things to note for the upcoming year:
  • Periodically check this website and PowerSchool for updates on information and grades.
  • Reading Counts is a program designed to encourage student reading at their individual reading level and track their progress. My expectation is that students will read for at least 400 minutes each month at home. Your child will be responsible for taking Reading Counts Quizzes. Students will be receiving a grade of their achievement. I have set each child's goal of 33 points per trimester.
