    About me...

    About me...

I originally joined Eureka Union School District in 2008, and I've been a proud Eagle since 2015. This year begins my fourth school year serving the students of Excelsior!

Like many teachers in Eureka Union (and even a few at Excelsior!), I am a proud Chico State Wildcat Alumni. My daughter, Annie, just became a Freshman at CSUC in August! My son, Zach, is 24, and he is an amazing cook and wonderful big brother :) I also have a very "ferocious" 11-pound chihuahua-ish four-legged child named Tucker. He's a professional "napper."

Before I became a teacher in 2007, I was a senior book editor for a Chico-based travel book company, Moon Travel Handbooks (now Avalon Travel in Berkeley). I have lived in Fair Oaks since 1999, and I love being so close to the river...and my family. Anyone who knows me or has had me as a teacher knows I LOVE to bake, and I'm kinda "famous" for my waffles. My classroom is conveniently located by the cafeteria, and I can occasionally be seen bringing super-overripe bananas to my car, then returning them in the form of banana chocolate chip bread the next day.
